Coca Cola's clothing line made of plastic bottles
Soft drink giant Coco Cola is all prepared to launch a clothing lane fully made out of recycled plastic. After considering the accuses form environmentalists, that Coca Cola's used bottles create great troubles on the atmosphere, the cola giant has come up with unique, yet creative solution of recycling the used bottles into fabric with a motto 'Drink 2 wear'.
Already a set of cloths including T-shirts that read "Make your plastic fantastic", "Rehash your trash", has been reached the stores with a price tag of $ 7.50. Other than the fabrics, tote bags, caps, purses and notebooks made from plastic bottles are also expected to arrive soon.
Stuart Kronauge, VP-marketing at Coca-Cola North America told that "These fun T-shirts merge trend with consciousness, reminding shoppers that small steps like recycling a few bottles can go a long way towards helping preserve our environment." The new concept will help to reuse more than 700 million bottles, which would otherwise turn hazards to environment.
The attempt of Coke is appreciable on the background of global warming and 'green earth movements'. Joining hands with the environ friendly movements, Coke had last year launched 328 environment friendly products.
The company aims to recycle 100% of the bottles used in the marketplaces. The company claims to have spent million only in recycling program.
