A Museum For Bhuttos

Mr Asif Ali Zardari, husband of assassinated former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, has decided to convert his Karachi residence, which originally belonged to him and was named after the birth of his son and presently the chairperson of the party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, into a museum for his slain wife and father-in-law Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
The museum, whose name is being finalised, would become a public property, The News reported quoting Pakistan People's Party sources.
The museum would contain the belongings of Benazir Bhutto and her father, both of whom have been the prime ministers of Pakistan.
While the father was hanged by military ruler General Ziaul Haq, the daughter was assassinated in a gun and bomb attack on December 27 last year.
Benazir who lived in a self-imposed exile in London for about eight years, generally used to stay at Bilawal House, Karachi, whenever she was in Pakistan.
Now, as Mr Zardari has decided to shift to Lahore, the property will virtually become the party"s headquarters.
Zardari, who in the wake of Benazir"s assassination, took over the party mantle as co-chairman elevated his stature as a politician.
