Water Car For Gizmo Freaks
Thiruvananthapuram: Vinod PS a 26-year old mechanic from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala has invented a car that can float and navigate in the sea as smoothly as it runs on the uneven roads. He modified a simple Maruti 800 car into a vehicle that looks like straight from a Hollywood film.
Sheer curiosity leads Vinod to this unique invention. It was not easy to transform a small car into a water-rider. It took three years and a lot of financial hardships for him to make the car a success. The newly designed car has Maruti engine in the front and Yamaha boat engine attached to the rear.
"It was tough getting this done. Financially I had lot of trouble. I had to even pawn my house to get a bank loan. But even during the most trying times and even when I failed once, I always had the self-belief that I could do it," Vinod says.
And at a price tag of Rs 8.5 lakhs, the car can very well earn Vinod a fortune.
