Shilpa Shetty poses for PETA
Dubai, Mar 22 (UNI) Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, fresh from her successful stint in the UK Celebrity Big Brother show, will soon be featured on billboards in Dubai campaigning against cruelty to animals.
Shilpa Shetty will pose in an advertisement for animal welfare group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) dressed in a figure-hugging bodysuit, crouched inside a small cage with a look of despair on her face to illustrate the misery of animals confined to circus business.
''Circuses are no fun for wild animals who are caged, beaten and deprived of all that is natural to them'' Shilpa said, who received international fame following the racial row in the British reality TV show.
''The best advice for children and parents who want to help animals is simply to boycott circuses that use animals'' , she said.
