Sean Stewart Charged With Assault
The 26-year old son of rock legend Rod Stewart, Sean Stewart was taken to a Hollywood police station on Tuesday (12.06.07) where he was charged with
two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of throwing an object at a vehicle and one count of vandalism. Sean Stewart has been alleged for throwing a brick at a married couple.
He was held for over an hour . He had to post $ 60,000 to be released on bail. The Arraignment has been set for July 3. The 'Sons of Hollywood' reality TV star has been told that he is likely to face five years of imprisonment as he was already on probation from a previous charge of assault, for which he served three months in jail.
Due to an altercation outside a private party in the Hollywood Hills on April 22. Tolabus and Ericka Stein claim that Sean had assaulted them with a brick before throwing objects at their cars and defacing their vehicle with graffiti.
According to their filed lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court last month, The couple Tolabus and Ericka and also their truck was attacked by Sean and his friends "swinging their arms at, punching, throwing bricks and other items". The couple are also suing Sean for assault and battery for undisclosed damages.
Sean's attorney however claims investigation into the issue as "the alleged victim only named Sean Stewart as a suspect after hearing that Mr.Stewart was at the party that night and that the alleged victim had a financial motive to make these allegations against Mr. Stewart".
