Aizawl, Feb 14 (UNI) A week-long cultural music festival - Octave 2007 will be jointly organised by the Sangeet Natak Academy and Northeast Zone Cultural Centre, at Shilparamam in Bangalore, to promote the cultural diversity of the ethnic groups of the Northeast region.
Art and Cultural department officials here today said the festival would begin on February 18 where about 27 folk musicians and cultural troupes from the NE region will participate. Three Mizoram rock bands - Magdlence, Third Sovereign and Boomerang were selected to participate in the Great Indian Rock show to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on February 24 to stage a 45 minutes show, officials added.
