'emotions' by 2009
Allahabad, Apr 15 (UNI) The budding engineers of the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) here have taken the task to develop 'emotions'(a robot with the features of human being.
Student coordinator of the project-humanoid, Nilesh Goel says the institute would be developing emotions by 2009, if all goes according to the plan.
The systematic exhibition of complex essay of evolution of humanoid has been attempted by the students in the ongoing robofest going on the institute's campus.
Throwing light over the ambitious project, Nilesh said,''it was finalised last year and thereafter the team of students is working day and night to develop humanoid-sewak, which would be capable of assisting the person in office and residence both.
''The humanoid would be capable of communication with its master through bluetooth technology. The technology facilitates wireless connection between the two mobile phones. The students have already gained success in performing computer operations through bluetooth enabled mobile phones,'' he said.
The institute is providing funds for the procurement of hardware and software for the ambitious project. All the major organs of humanoid are being tested and experimented and the prototypes of humanoid would be developed by next year, he added.
