Nation's first education web portal launched at India Habitat Centre
New Delhi, Sep 27 (UNI) India's first education web portal, iqbuddy.com, was launched by GnL education Pvt Ltd at India Habitat Centre here today.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO of the company Mr Vishal Gupta said,''I am committed to the idea that the children will have the liberty to explore without the fear of being ridiculed. This web portal is meant to help students, teachers and parents. It is a learning pyramid that will cover all the boards. It provides absolute learning and retention of knowledge.'' The web portal claims to be a unique single pool of comprehensive and updated online resources created by teachers and education experts from across the country, which seeks to engage students from nursery to class VIII. It has a plethora of features--multimedia lessons, thousands of games, education videos, more than 1,700,000,000 images, reference articles from online papers, journals and educational magazines. It also has complex calculators, updated encyclopedia, dictionary, thesaurus and atlas.
The web portal facilitates language translations and provides logs and tables to students. It has solved and unsolved question papers for practice. All the features are accurately mapped and constantly updated according to class curriculum levels by experts.
The web portal seeks to inculcate a scientific temper in children by helping them access and lucidly organise information, comprehend and communicate findings, practise concepts of import and gain overall confidence in studies by scoring well in examinations.
The web portal aims to keep children away from inappropriate websites in their search for study material on the Internet.
