Desikottama Title For Prof C N R Rao
New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) Professor C N R Rao, Honorary President of the Jawaharlal Nehru for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore, has been given the title of 'Desikottama' by Vishvabharathi University, Shantiniketan.
The honour has been bestowed on him in recognition of his monumental contributions to science, an official statement said here today. Last year, the University conferred the title and an honorary doctorate on maestro Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna.
