Cuba Gooding Hailed A Real Hero
Cuba Gooding Jr. has been hailed a hero for saving the life of a man who had been shot. On the eventful day that happened to be the Memorial Day (28/05/2007)the Oscar-winning actor was in his car when he heard four gunshots and saw a wounded man stumbling out of a restaurant. According to 'The New York Daily News newspaper': "Cuba was picking up dinner at 'Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n' Waffles' for his family on the night of Memorial Day. He saw a young kid holding his head and walked toward him. The kid was bleeding from his neck and collapsed."
Gooding at once rushed to the victim who was about 20 yrs old, and cradeling him in his arms shouted out to the restaurant to fetch him towels. It is believed that the 'Jerry Maguire' star said " No, we need real towels!" when the he was given paper towels. He however managed to stop the bleeding.
Cuba Gooding then stopped a police car and waited to see the wounded man in an ambulance. The latest news is that the condition of the victim is improving. Gooding is currently starring in 'Hero Wanted' opposite Ray Liotta.
