24-hr Bhajan For World Peace

Chennai, Sep 26 (UNI) The Dr NAC Naamasakeerthana Trust will organise a 24-hour non-stop 'Akhanda Bhajan' for world peace here.

The Bhajan would begin at 0855 hrs on September 29 and conclude at 0900 hrs the next day.

This would be the Trust's maiden programme after it was launched a few days ago, Dr Nedungadi V Haridas, Managing Trustee of the Trust, told reporters here yesterday.

Leading Bhajan groups from across South India and from Gujarat would render hymns. About 500 to 1,000 people, including 11 from the US, would participate in the bhajans.

Well known musician and music director Dakshinamurthy would inaugurate the programme and Mr , MP, would attend the valedictory session that would conclude with 'Anjaneyotsavam'.
