Palanpur, Gujarat, May 9 (UNI) Can a single strand of hair be perforated! Yes it can be. A girl in Deesa town not only punctures a hole in the hair but passes another one through the micro hole.
Kinjal Dinesh Kumar Nayak (13), a student of Standard eight, has been drawing crowds for showing her wonder art of piercing a hole in a hair with a needle.
With a small syringe, held between her teeth, and a hair held taut in her fingers, she can do the feat within a minute. When she began, it looked rather impossible to carry out such a feat. But slowly as the time passed she learnt the art.
Her father Dinesh Nayak, who worked with a surgeon, used to puncture a plastic thread for stitching an organ after the operation. ''If a thin plastic thread can be pierced why not a hair?'' asks Kinjal.
''My father's encouragement enabled me to perfect this difficult task. Subsequently, I succeeded in perforating the hair. My joy knew no bounds,'' says Kinjal who has been practising this hair-puncturing feat since 2004.
''In beginning it took hours to pierce a hair, now I take only a minute to make the hole at three places of a long strand of hair and then pass another hair through it,'' Kinjal said.
