Vagdevi educational institute is organizing a cultural festival on culture and language of the state, as a part of pro celebration of golden jubilee Kannada Rajyotsava. It will be held for 3 days from 1st to 3rd in its campus.

Vagdevi Kala Utsav is creating a platform for children from 150 schools in the city to showcase their talents in different art form. Along with the students, the general public has an opportunity to participate in the festival. There is also scope for exhibition of products from the cottage industry and handicrafts.

More than 25 competitions will be held in this 3 days, which will deal with various art forms such as music, theater, dance, drama, songs and rangoli that reflects the culture and language of the state. K. Sridevi, Principal of Vagdevi School informed that music veterans such as C. Aswath, Pravin Gokhindi, and painting maestro B.K.S Verma, Shatavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh will also be a part of the festival.

Higher education minister D.H Shankarmurthy will inaugurate the festival.
The chief guests for the fest will be the renowned officials like Tourism minister Sriramulu, Primary and high school education minister Basavaraj Horatti and former minister Narayan Reddy.
