Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Nov 26 (UNI) A stunning performance by Santoor maestro Pt Shivkumar Sharma left about 8,000-odd music lovers spellbound at Ellora Ajanta Festival here last evening.
The master of strings started with raga Rageshwari and presented three different varieties during his performance on the second day of the four-day-long event.
The legendary santoor master was accompanied by Tabla player Yogesh Samshi, who also presented the Santoor combination with Tabla on the occasion.
Earlier, Anuradha Shende and her troupe had performed 'Aparajita', a ballet depicting the ultimate principles of Ahimsa, the non-violence of Buddhism.
The unseasonal rain, however, spoiled the show when it was at its peak at around 2130 hrs. The programmes were scheduled to continue till midnight. The festival commiteee had to abandon the popular Marathi entertainment programme 'Nakshtrache Dene'. The programme will be held tomorrow.
