'Romancing Rajasthan' in Pakistan
Jaipur, Nov 6 (UNI) A team of Rajasthan artists and cooks will leave for Pakistan today in an effort to strengthen the cultural ties between the two countries.
The programme titled 'Romancing Rajasthan' organised by NGO 'Roots to Roots' will perform at Karachi and Lahore between November 8-19.
The artists will include Jodhpur's Langa bandhu Kalu Khan and party comprising 11 members, Meenakari artist Dipak Sanket and Kota Doria specialist Nassiruddin.
The delegation will also showcase Rajasthan Development Tourism Corporation (RTDC)'s specialist cook from Jodhpur, Omkar Singh. He will delight the Pakistani public with Rajasthani delicacies like Dal-Baati-Choorma and Ker Sangri.
The team will be in Karachi from November 8-12 and in Lahore from November 14-19. This is part of an exchange programme between the two neighbours. A team of Pakistani artists had visited Jaipur in August this year.
