rahul sprains leg
Congress MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi had to cut short his four-day visit to his parliamentary constituency due to a sprain in his leg and left for Delhi much to the disappointment of his electorate who had gathered to meet him.
Mr Gandhi, who was here on Monday , sprained his leg this morning at the guest house he was staying at. After spending s few minutes at Dakhipur where he had gone to inaugurate a road, Rahul cut short his stay and flew back to the national capital a day before his scheduled departure.
The young MP, whose presence was always a comforting factor for his electorate, had to face the frustration of his supporters on being unable to meet them due to excessive pain.
Earlier, adressing a meeting of Youth Congress workers at Munshiganj guest house, the Congress MP called upon them to brace up for the coming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.
Blaming the past non-Congress governments in UP for creating a vast divide in the society, he said the party workers should not be misled by these designs and exhorted them to work unitedly in the greater interest of the party.
