Mahmad Ali will always cherish this day, when he found a new disciple in none other than the young MP of his parliamentary constituency.
A potter by profession, Mahmad knew Rahul Gandhi could visit his village, Lubhagi Basti, but had no inkling that in a few moments, he would form a life-long bond with the younger Gandhi.
Rahul had visited the village this afternoon to interact with mostly Muslim potters who are settled in the village.
When Rahul saw Mahmad making pots on the wheel, he stopped to observe the process closely.
Later, the Amethi MP decided to make few pots himself on the wheel. Mahmad became an instant teacher to teach his 'student' the finer nuances of pottery.
