Polish delegation visits Golden Temple
A 23-member delegation from Poland, headed by Mr Kazimierz Prokocki paid obeisance at the Golden Temple here this afternoon, as a part of a cultural exchange programme.
The group, which was honoured with a robe of honour (Siropa) and a set of religious books by SGPC officials at the Information Centre on behalf of SGPC president, was accompanied by their host Ryan International School staff.
Earlier, the group performed national dance of Poland 'Krakowiak' at Punjab Naat Shala theatre.
The students of Ryan International performed a skit on the occasion, which was based on a letter from a child to terrorists with a concluding line ''your acts will not dampen our spirits because we are Indians.'' Former Punjab PWD minister Sucha Singh Langah and Parliamentary Secretary (Education) Dr Raj Kumar were the chief guests on this occasion.
