medical services
Aizawl, Nov 24 (UNI) Mizoram health minister R langhmingthanga today said his department is planning to procure some mobile hospitals to expand medical services in the remote areas.
Talking to newsmen here Mr Tlanghmingthanga said the department had decided to buy nine highly equipped mobile medical units and the Centre had also agreed to provide fund for the purpose.
''The decision was taken in the review meeting of anti-malaria campaign, as we have renewed the efforts to eradicate malaria in the coming years,'' he said.
He said the government had reduced the medical investigation fees in all state government hospitals for people living Below Poverty Line (BPL).
He had also urged the private hospitals to follow the decision and charge medical investigation fees at government rate.
