HIV & Aids Check-up To Be Compulsory

Machilipatnam, Nov 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Director-General of Police Swaranjit Sen said an order for compulsory check-up of HIV and AIDS for every personnel working in the police department would be soon issued.
Since HIV/AIDS was dangerous than terrorism, prevention was the only way to control the disease, he told reporters here last night.
Mr Sen said the screening test would be conducted on him first followed by other policemen and new recruits in the police department.
Earlier, he inaugurated a police welfare shopping complex constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 40 lakh.
