Foods That Your Dog Shouldn't Eat
Many dog owners believe that they can feed their dogs almost anything. Some even say that their dog's diet is incredible like a human being. Recently, a friend told me that his dog eats curd rice and that is because he was raised in a pure Tamilian family. However, your dog's food is not subject to your personal preferences.
You must understand that your dog is not like a child. You cannot shape a dog's diet preferences against its digestive system. Your pet is a canine and thus must eat like a canine. Some foods are toxic for dogs. While human beings do not find these foods toxic, it does not suit the metabolic system of dogs.
Here are some foods that dogs must not be fed.

Onions and garlic: Most experts say that your dog should not be fed curries. Curries contain onions and garlic that kills the red blood cells in dogs. This leads to anaemia and weakness in dogs. If your dog is extremely inactive, then onions and garlic could be the culprits.
Chocolate: Cocoa contains a harmful substance called theobromine, that can cause seizures in dogs. These seizures can be fatal if they are not treated properly. So while your pet might love chocolates, it is not in their best interest to have chocolates.
Dairy Products: A fully grown dog has no need of milk products. You can give your puppy milk but stop dairy products once the dog becomes an adolescent. The dog's digestive system cannot digest milk. It is like a lactose intolerance for dogs.
Grapes And Raisins: Grape is one fruit that your dog cannot eat. And since raisins are made by drying grapes, you must not feed your dogs raisins as well. Some constituents present in grapes can cause kidney failure in dogs.
Avocado: For human beings, avocado is a nutritious fruit. But for dogs, this food can be very harmful. Avocado has an element called persin. This persin if consumed in large amounts can cause sickness in the dog. Vomiting and nausea are common symptoms of this condition.
These are some of the foods that your dog should not consume. You can feed your dog home cooked food. However, you must ensure that this food does not become toxic for your dog. Do you feed your dog any of these foods?
