A Pet Friendly Valentine's Day

Many people across the world like to spend the Valentines day with their pets! It cannot be called as a Valentine's Day trend, but an emotion expressed specially on Valentine's Day though pets get pampered regularly.
More than 24,000 people participated in a survey conducted over 23 countries in the world. Around half the people from Turkey wanted to spend the special day with their pets, than with the partner. Around 10 percent from France, one-quarter of Aussie couples and 27 percent from US also preferred the same.
'Single Volunteers', a community support group from Melbourne teamed up with 'Pet Rescue' to upgrade a pet-friendly Valentines Day. It simultaneously provides the chance for the public to meet and work hands-on with the discarded animals.
Single Volunteers founder Melina Schamroth says that generally women are more active to attend such traditional match-making events than men. She adds that men should understand that such kind of events are about being an individual who care about the community, when just being single.
