102 Dalmation Doggie Granny To 18 Puppies

Remember the Disney film '102 Dalmatian'? The daughter of one of the dogs in the movie has created a local record for delivering 18 puppies. This is after over a year of delivering a bunch of 16 puppies.

Button, the mother dog has kept the owner Adam and Nicola Morley and their 17-year-old son, Michael on their feet 24x7 to look after the puppies and herself.

Chine House Veterinary Hospital in Sileby, Leicestershire claims this to be the largest bunch till date to be delivered. The Caesarean operation was carried out by Con Hassett, the vet on December 23. "I delivered all 18 puppies in about 9 to 12 minutes. He said.

"The surgery itself is reasonably straightforward, but it's the aftercare that's harder. We had to have five or six nurses there to revive and tend to the puppies." said Nicola Morley
