Sometimes it becomes too difficult to stop the wastage of food. We are going out with friends and have already prepared meals, we don't have that much appetite for dinner but still prepare huge meals and sometimes we don't have idea how many guests will be visiting so we cook more.
All these things will lead to wastage of food. It is a sin to waste food as many people in India are starving and ultimately dying because they don't get the food to eat. Moreover wastage of food will waste our hard earned money also.

We must learn to manage our cooking and buying foods so that we reduce wastage. Sometimes when we go to a supermarket we end up buying the things that are not needed and also buy some food items in large amounts. This should be all controlled to prevent wastage.

Plan Your Meals
You must know when you are going out to eat food and plan your cooking accordingly. Even if you have cooked keep it in your freezer so that you can eat it the next day.

Don’t Throw Away Ripe And Bruised Fruit
If the fruits have become extra ripe, don't throw them away as you can make fruit jams and jellies with these ripe fruits. You can also make fruit smoothies out of them.

Stale Bread
You can make bread pudding out of the dry and hard bread. Another option is to put the bread in an oven and later you can enjoy the crispy slices with honey or jam.

Preserve Vegetables
If you have bought many vegetables from market don't throw the rest of vegetables away. You can dry these extra vegetables in the sun and preserve them. Another option is to fry them and later store in fridge.

Sour Milk
You can make a cheese out of the milk that has become sour. Put a little vinegar or lemon in the milk and boil it. Later strain the water to get the cheese.

Tomatoes
If you end up buying too much of tomatoes don't worry, there is a nice way to preserve them. Make a tomato puree by first grinding them, adding a little honey and then fry them to remove excess water and until they become concentrated.
