There are separate products for kitchen tops, floors, glassware, tables, mirrors, stoves and much more than you can imagine. And many a times, you also end up buying these products with the determination to use them to the fullest. You go back home with the satisfaction that doing household chores will be much easier and better.

But what happens to those cleaning solutions and powders? After a couple of enthusiastic uses, they get pushed into a corner and are conveniently forgotten. And with them goes a whole lot of money that was spent on them. Would it not be better if you could come up with your own cleaning solutions using items found in your kitchen? You will not only be saving money but will also be assuring yourself of a clean green home.

Here are some cleaning home tips that help you to keep the home clean in a natural and economical manner. Vinegar is the key ingredient that solves many of your cleaning problems. So, get ready to stock up on vinegar.

You can make the floor cleaner with simple ingredients available at home. All you need is vinegar and warm water. Mix one part of vinegar to two parts of water and mop the floor. The vinegar will act as a disinfectant and also give a bright shine to the floor.

Got a drain choked up? Instead of heading for the chemically prepared drain cleaning powders, go for vinegar and baking soda. Drop half a cup of baking soda into the choked drain and pour half a cup of vinegar over it. Cover the drain and let the reactions take place. Wait for 30 minutes and then let some hot water run through for two to three minutes. Repeat if heavily clogged.

The good old vinegar works wonders for your kitchen counter top as well. Mix equal parts of vinegar and water and spray it on your counter top. Mop up with a soft cloth. The vinegar will cut into the grime and oil, leaving your kitchen counter clean, disinfected and shiny.

Take one cup of filtered water and mix three tablespoons of vinegar. Using a soft cloth, wipe all furniture with the solution to get clean and germ-free furniture.

There are times when dishes get a bit too burnt and scrubbing alone does not help. Do not fret. Sprinkle baking soda over the burnt area and pour a mix of water and vinegar over it. Let it sit for about half an hour. The stain will go with just a little bit of rubbing.

When soups and gravy spill onto the stove, they burn further and take the shape of very tough stains. Once again, vinegar comes to the rescue. Mix equal quantities of water and vinegar and pour over the stained area. Leave it for half an hour and rub off with a kitchen towel. Once the stain is gone, you can clean it further with soapy water to get back your sparkling stove.

Ever washed towels and found them to be rough and hard. Now, clean your towels with baking soda and vinegar. Add a cup of baking soda to the towels. Pour vinegar in the rinse compartment of the machine. The baking soda will clean the towels, while the vinegar will act as a softener. You will soon have soft and fluffy towels.
