How To Remove Sweat Stains On Clothes?

Removing sweat stains on clothes is not easy as over washing and brushing may spoil the crispness and colour of the clothes. The fabric in the area looses thickness and gets bobbins. A few cleaning tips will give bigger ideas for housekeeping.
Remove Sweat Stains On Clothes – Cleaning Tips
1. Soak the clothes in lemon or soda water for 10 minutes. This removes stains of sweat and also makes the fabric smell fresh.
2. It is always best to hand wash the sweat stains than using a brush. The chemicals and salts in sweat would have weakened the fabric so brushing may pull out the weaves or may even lead to tearing of the dress.
3. Unwashed sweat stains on skin is harmful as the mold and mildew may grow on the sweat causing infection and rashes on skin. One of the main reasons for the darkening of armpits is due to these fungal and bacterial infection. Always dry the stained dress in sunlight so that it doesn't catch fungus.
4. Using fragrant fabric conditioners after wash helps in maintaining the clothes fresh and add fragrance.
5. If the dress is bright coloured and is losing colour by wash, try to soak it in rock salt water as the salt will preserve clothes (the dyes) new for long.
6. Expensive fabrics like silk or wool can be dry washed to keep it colourful and maintain its shine forever.
7. There are ways to avoid sweat stains other than washing. Getting a pad (sweat pad) stitched to the blouse, gown or dress (sleeved) will never allow the sweat get in contact with the fabric.
