Tips To Remove Mold & Mildew From Walls

Remove Mold On Walls – Tips
1. Firstly, you need to find the leakage points that are causing the dampness on the walls. The wet area is cause for the mold and mildew to develop. Externally fixing leakage will help you to internally remove mold and get rid of it permanently.
2. Peeling wall paints, organic wall hangings, newspapers, dust, wood and unattended carpets, mats can be reasons for molds on the walls. Cleaning these stuff that support the growth of fungi should first be eradicated and thrown away. Prefer washable carpets, foot rugs and mats, choose laminated wall hangings and chuck the old newspapers. Dusting walls and cleaning ceiling every fortnight, keeping the windows open for air circulation and sun light will maintain the walls for a long time.
3. Molds on the glass and metallic enclosures can be wiped off easily with mild soaps and detergents. Ammonia and bleach soaps need to be avoided as they are not only toxic for the molds but are also harmful for homemakers.
4. Vacuum clean the walls before you start with the mold removal. The dry dust needs to be wiped off before the damp stains. Small black spots on walls can be removed with hot water with pinch of neem powder. Dry the area with paper towels.
5. To remove bigger mold and mildew stains, prepare a disinfectant.
