Steps To A Neat And Clean Cupboard

Cupboard
Our bedrooms and living rooms take away most of our cleaning drives. But what about the cupboards? Isn't your cupboard are always dumped with clothes? Cleaning our dresses is always a weekend plan and it keeps getting postponed to the next weekend, until there's an emergency.

Not only teenagers but elders too think that a messy cupboard is all right, as long as the mess is behind its closed doors. But, do you get irritated when you are getting late for a party and can't find your favourite top? This is when the thought of cleaning your dresser creeps in.

Here are some easy ways of organising your closet.

The space of your cupboard can be divided into sections. First and foremost is of course the space for hanging clothes, then comes the space for keeping the folded jeans or t-shirts, a separate concealed space for your undergarments and lastly, if space permits a section for your accessories.

Use the space for hangers for hanging clothes that are ironed like the shirts, sarees, salwaar kamiz and formal wear so that it doesn't get crushed. It is easy for you to choose what to wear when you are getting late for office. Folding and keeping pressed clothes will spoil its creases.

Fold your t-shirts, kurtas and cargoes and keep them in a separate section. Make separate piles for each type of clothing. This will help you wear for the right thing at the right place.

Use the concealed part of your cupboard for storing undergarments, hankies and socks. You can either use a drawer for it or make a separate bag and keep it in one corner.

If space permits you can use a separate space for your accessories. Keep your jewellery box at an accessible top surface. This will make your cupboard look visually impressive too.

While cleaning the dresser, use the opportunity to weed away torn socks and underwear that may be laying for months. Get rid of other small things that do not belong to the cupboard like a photo frame or a doll. You may be lucky enough to find your sunglasses that you were looking around in the house!

While organising, wear all your old t-shirts and kurtas and check if they fit you any longer. If they don't give them away to someone and rush to the store for new clothes.

Remove unseasonal clothes. In summers keep all your woollens away. Wash them and nicely pack them away for the next season.

Once you have organised your cupboard, make an extra effort and every day take out five minutes to fold your washed clothes and keep then in their desired place. This will help you to keep your dresser neat, clean and impressive!
