Tips To Get Rid Of Rats From Your Garden
There are few of us who likes to keep pets at home. But when we say pets, we mean any domesticated animals which can be a little help for us. But when it comes to rats, who would like to own it? None, expect for a few who would opt for white rats. There are many who dislikes and dread these tiny creatures. Rats, also known as rodents are a complete nuisance to the home as they nibble on the furnitures and destroy the clothes.
We may have many options to get rid of rats, few of us get rat poisons or get sprays to avoid them out of our lives. However, though this could help us in some way, we need to be extremely cautious, especially if we have children or other pets like dogs and cats at home. Hence, it is necessary for us to check certain alternatives in order to keep those tiny creatures at bay. In order to keep our garden and home clean, we need to find some solution to keep avoid rats finding its way to the garden or our homes.

Here are few tips to get rid of rats from your garden:
If you keep trash bins in your garden, then make sure it is covered. And especially if you have wet waste dumped in you bins. The smell of the food or rotten fruits tend to attract the rats to your bins. Hence, make sure you cover your bins properly.
Remove wood piles, junk sheds and garden debris that attract rodents to nest on your property. And also ensure that the wood piles and garden debris especially are cleaned often.
Cover or seal up small holes around pipes, vents, doors and windows with clays or glue so that the rats would not creep up making its way through the holes.
If there are rats making its way to your house then it is recommended to set rat traps in and around garden areas. Both live and snap traps are effective and can be baited with foods such as cheese and bread. Release live animals as far away from human dwellings as possible.
If you are skeptical using chemical rat poison, hen you can use a natural rat poison as a last resort. Place the bait in areas that rats frequent. Purchase those brands of rat bait made with Vitamin D3. This kills the rat within few days.
