Natural Compost From Kitchen Waste

Natural Compost
Compost is the most important aspect in gardening. It is said that the richer the compost in your garden the better it is for your vegetables and fruits which is growing.
Many gardeners believe that natural compost is vital as it provides a better growth. The best thing about compost is that you can use the things available from your kitchen waste itself to prepare the compost for your garden.

Some of the natural means of compost is by using the leftovers of your kitchen waste like that of banana peel, onion skins, lettuce, carrots, apples, cabbage, eggs shells and potato peels too. The more natural is your garden without the artificial compost the better it is for you.

This natural compost is best use for times in winter when there is frost which destroys the garden. To prevent this all you have to do is to gather all the vegetable peels to make your compost when the winter arrives.

The best tip in collecting the natural compost is to place a small bin in the backyard and throw your vegetable peels into it. It will of course begin to smell so make sure that you cover it well with pesticide around so that it does not invite pests and rodents to invade it. Use the bin of vegetable peels in winter to prevent your garden from the frost.

Keep in mind that when you add the natural compost to the soil before planting the vegetables, see to it that there are no insects and rodents hiding as it will destroy your plants.

When you are collecting your natural compost all you have to do is not to mix the bin with dairy products like that of milk or rice also including non vegetarian items. It should only be of vegetable peels.

To make things easier for you, all you have to do is to have a small bowl inside your home for the kitchen waste and every time you scrape a vegetable store them in the small bowl and later add it to the bin of vegetable peels.

Tip- Prevent the vegetable peel bin from rats and other deadly insects by adding in a little soil every time you add peels to the bin. Mix the bin well from time to time.
