Natural ingredients have a variety of properties like anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antiseptic, insect repellent, stain removal and air freshening. It's important to use natural sanitisers and natural home deodorisers not only at home, but also in other public places like schools, offices and libraries. Nowadays the markets are full of chemical and harmful products, but with a little attention and time we can use eco-friendly sanitisers without much difficulty.

Tea Tree Oil
It is one of the most safe and widely used kitchen cleanser because of its anti-bacterial properties. If consumed it is poisonous, so make sure to keep away from children.

Vinegar
Vinegar is a powerful anti-grease agent. It is used to clean kitchen counters, dishwashers, greasy oven and cloudy glass wares. It is widely used for cleaning purposes, but it does not kill harmful bacterias.

Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus is a common disinfectant that has antiviral and antibacterial properties. Also, it is an effective insect repellent. Eucalyptus is an active ingredient in home-based hand sanitisers.

Borax
It is a multipurpose homemade natural household sanitiser used to clean dirty windows and floors, to remove carpet stains and as an insect repellent. Also, it eliminates urine odour from mattresses.

Baking Soda
Baking soda, otherwise known as sodium bicarbonate is also a multi-purpose natural sanitiser. It is also used as a deodoriser. It removes foul smell from refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave oven.

Washing Soda
It is known as SAL soda or sodium carbonate decahydrate. It is used in removing tough stains, cleaning tiles, walls, sinks and tubs. Take care when using SAL as it irritates mucous membranes. Also, avoid using it on aluminium.

Hydrogen Peroxide
An effective germ killer, hydrogen peroxide is used in cleaning, cutting boards, garbage bins, dish scrubbers, toilets and bedpans. We can also use it to kill mould on walls.

Lemon
As a natural weed killer and a normal household cleaner,the uses of lemon are plentiful. It is used to remove bathroom stains, combat strong odours and clean dirty dishes. It is also used as a strong ant repellent.

Lavender
You can use drops of lavender oil along with diluted vinegar and water in cleaning floors and tiles. Not only it cleans, but also it is very aromatic.

Corn Starch
Corn starch is a very good cleaning agent. It is widely used to clean windows, remove dust or dirt from carpets and also to polish furniture.
