Ideas to make rangoli designs:
Use colours: You can go colourful this Ugadi. Welcome New Year with bright and vibrant colours such as red, orange, yellow, blue, green and pink. Blend them in proper strokes of the geometric shape rangoli. Colours attract more attention and looks good too.
Try with flowers: You can either draw a rangoli with flowers only flowers and petals. Rose petals, marigold petals, small purple paper flowers are few colourful flowers to use for rangoli making. Finely cut greens-grass, leaves, methi leaves and rose leaves can give the finishing touch to your flower rangoli design. Another way of using flowers is by placing them in geometric shaped coloured rangoli as fillings.
Diyas/candles: Rangoli making is basically drawing your entrance with bright colours and flowers. As it is Ugadi, welcome New Year by using candles/diyas on the rangoli. If you don't want to use too many diyas/cnadles to highlight rangoli in the night time, use only few on the corners or joining points. This defines the fine strokes and cutting in rangoli.
