Make Paper Roses For Rose Day
Having greenery at home is important but potted plants may be difficult to maintain as the stored water in pots may become a breeding area for mosquitoes. Plants need to be watered everyday, exposed to good sunlight, regularly sprayed with pesticides to keep away pests but at this fast paced living it is impossible to do these things. In such cases you can make your home green and colorful by making paper plants and paper flowers for decorating home.
Paper crafts like paper roses look very colorful on tables if decorated with ferns in vases. As part the “Rose Day", we would like to teach you on making paper roses with these steps.

Making Paper Roses Steps -
1. First, make a stencil of a petal using a cardboard. Trace petal shape (almond shape) on the cardboard and cut it to use it like a stencil.
2. Using the cardboard cutting, cut petals on crepe paper (any color crepe paper of choice). Make atleast 10-15 petals for every flower.
3. Gently fold the ends (inwards, except the sharp edge) of the petals using a tooth pick.
4. For rose buds, cut a strip of crepe paper and fold it into 3-4 layers on a metal string to make it look like a bud. Make four to five rose buds in similar way.
5. Stick the remaining portion of the string with green crepe paper so that it looks natural.
6. Stick the petals by overlapping one with the other around the bud (just like the petal arrangement in roses). A paper glue is more than enough to stick petals. Cover the glued portion with a thin green strip of crepe paper.
Repeat these steps to make how many ever paper flowers you want for your vase. Make paper roses with these steps to beautify the interiors of your house and also pool in kids to do such craft work.
