Construct A Nest Of Dreams Part II
Your house must be ready in a skeleton format by this time. Read Construct A Nest Of Dreams Part I to get into the beginning steps. Here are the further steps that will take you through the further steps in a house construction.
Electrical Appliances
A good work of electrician is essential for the safety as well as to balance the energy consumption of your house. Always choose for the quality electrical wires rather than selecting the cheap ones. Ensure the placement of a circuit breaker to shut off automatically, while the wires heat up due to overloading. Outdoor, kitchen and bathroom receptacles should be protected by a special ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) circuit breaker to guard against electrocution. Place the switch board at convenient angles in each room and be generous to keep at least two plug points in a room.
plumbing
Water is an inevitable factor for your daily living. Modern architecture offers several separate plumbing systems to assist a smooth flowing of water. Water-supply pipes bring pressurized water from the utility or a well to your house, where it is piped to sinks, toilets, washers, bathtubs, and related fixtures. Larger pipes drain waste and vent sewer gases. And many homes have piped-in natural gas for gas-burning appliances such as dryers and furnaces.
Ask your plumber to fix the pipes strongly and with quality material. The main shutoff valve is located either outside where the main water supply enters, or just inside. Turn the valve clockwise to shut it of in an emergency.
Flooring
Flooring sets the tone for the look of a room. There are two main types of floors: raised floors that are wood framed, and floors built on concrete slabs. Beneath a raised, finished floor there is generally a sub floor, supported by joists and beams, posts, and, in a two-story house, bearing walls. Take care of these basic pattern and now you can adorn your house floor with your favourite material.
Finish Work
Finish work comes next! Pay attention to trimming, painting and other wood works. You can determine the light fixing and kitchen counters in accordance with your taste. Finish plumbing, flooring, carpeting and hook the house up to water main and sewer or septic.
