7 Budget-Friendly Ways To Decorate Your Bathroom, Easy Hacks To Try On A Weekend!
A bathroom is one of the most used zones in your home. And it can say a lot about your lifestyle and preferences, especially when your guest and visitors use it. Simply put, it works as an impression card for your space. So it is pretty crucial to keep it clean and elevated with essential bathroom fittings and fixtures, lights, and bath essentials.
From a decor point of view, you don't necessarily need to break the bank to give it a plush and welcoming feel. With some simple decor hacks, it is possible to revamp your bathroom in the best way possible, and that too in a short span of time!

Here are some pocket-friendly cosmetic tips to update your bath space and make it look amazing:
1. Add a Paint
There is nothing like a fresh coat of paint to elevate the ho-hum-looking bathroom. Paint the ceilings and walls with mould and mildew-proof primer and paint. Such paint choices offer extra protection to the bathroom. Add the paint to any neglected surfaces like baseboard moulding, window trim, old cabinetry and even flooring too.
2. Replace Old Hardware
From sink faucets, toilet flush handles, towel bars, and soap dishes, to cabinet knobs, the bath space is incomplete without essential hardware. To add a new look to your bathroom, you can update these hardware options. For example, old stainless steel basin taps can be replaced with matte brass ones. Make sure to complement the hardware choices with the style of your bathroom.
3. Stick to Neutral Hue
It is always a better idea to select neutral-tone fixtures and finishes, especially when you wish to decorate the bath space on a minimal budget. So usual bath fixtures like toilets, sinks, tubs and wall tiles and flooring can feature subtle tones like white, off-white, beige, greige, etc. This allows you to add bath accents, window shades, artwork and accessories in bold colours!
4. Impress with Lights
Lights are one of the most overlooked design elements in home interiors. By simply replacing the old light fixtures with attractive ones can give a luxe look to the bath space. And these futures needn't be expensive too. Select light fixtures that will fit perfectly within the available space, bathroom style, and of course your budget. For example, trendy wall sconces or pendants can be added beside the vanity mirror in a contemporary-style bathroom. Whereas classic bath space can be flared up with a ceiling fixture or chandelier.
5. Add a New Window Treatment or Rug
Sometimes the smallest details can add a bigger impact on home interiors. Include a window treatment that is moisture-resistant and can block light. Add a floor rug or runner which is essential to add a warm and protective layer to the bath space. Coordinate the colour and pattern of the bath or window curtain and runner with the colour pallet of the bathroom.
6. Decorate with Plants
Plants are one of the most endearing and budget-friendly ways to revamp the neglected bath space. Add mini plants or succulents on the bath shelves or vanity cabinets. Keep the chosen plants in attractive planters to add a hint of colour, texture, and drama to the bathroom. If you have ample open space in the bathroom, then add a floor plant in the bathroom corner!
7. Impress with Art
Why keep artwork and accessories restricted to the living room or bedroom only? You can add a fair share of accessories in the bathroom too. Hang a solo or set of artworks on the bathroom wall. If the space allows, then you can also create a gallery wall. The subject of the artwork can vary from florals, landscapes, abstract, or innovative quotes.
