Hariyali Teej falls in the month of Sawan and it is celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm. It is on this day women worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati and observe fast for the wellbeing of their husbands and happiness and peace of the house.
Preparations for this auspicious day start many days in advance. Women get all decked up, apply mehendi on their hands, prepare delicious meals and also decorate the house on Hariyali Teej.
