6 HEALTHY WAYS TO COOK CHICKEN
Choice of taste may differ from person to person and seasoning is the perfect way to satisfy all those taste buds. You can also add or remove any ingredient from the list according to your choice. Here are some easy and healthy ways to season chicken with ingredients that you can find easily in your kitchen shelf.
Herb-marinated chicken
Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 3 tablespoons of dried herbs, 1/4 cup of extra-virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons of garlic or onion powder, and 1 to 2 tablespoons of mustard. Mix chicken breasts with this in a resealable bag. Grill or bake the chicken.
Teriyaki marinade
Mix 1 cup of soy sauce, 1 cup of water, 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce, 2 teaspoons of garlic powder, 3/4 cup white sugar, 3 tablespoons of distilled white vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger.
Fresh herb rub
Take 1 tablespoon of snipped fresh thyme, 1 tablespoon of snipped fresh sage, 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of snipped fresh rosemary, and 2 cloves of minced garlic. Rub this onto the chicken.
Citrusy marinade
Combine 1/4 teaspoon chopped sage, 1 1/2 inch section of ginger, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1/2 cup orange juice, 3 cloves of garlic and 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce. Marinate chicken overnight with this in a resealable bag.
Spicy barbecue rub
Add 1 tablespoon of ground allspice, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, 1 teaspoon of ground red pepper, 1 tablespoon of ground ginger, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper.
Brined chicken
Mix 4 ounces of honey, 2 cloves of sliced garlic, 1 quart of water, 4 ounces of salt, and 2 ounces of olive oil together. Apply olive oil before cooking for a better result.
Beaten egg
Mix 2 cup flour, 2 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon pepper, 1/4 cup milk. Take 2 beaten eggs. Dip the chicken in the flour mix and then to the beaten eggs and again to the flour mix.
Yogurt and basil
Marinade the boneless chicken with yogurt, chopped basil and a small amount of corn starch. Keep it for 4-6 hours and then sprinkle bread crumbs and some Parmesan cheese. Bake this at 185C for 30 minutes.
Indian seasoning
Mix 6 tablespoons paprika, 2 tablespoons of ground coriander, ground cumin, coarse kosher salt and one tablespoon of ground black pepper, ginger, sugar, saffron, cinnamon. This is one of the healthy ways to season chicken.
Garlic seasoning
This is one of the healthy ways to season chicken for those who wonder how to season chicken without salt. Blend garlic flakes, black pepper, sesame seeds, lemon peel and chives.
