Bitter Remedies For Intestinal Worms

By Sneha A

Intestinal worms are a very common problem, especially found in children. These worms are parasites that live in the intestines of other host organisms.

There are numerous types of intestinal worms; however, out of all these four such worms namely roundworm, pinworm, whipworm and tapeworm, in specific, are the most problematic.

Basically, roundworms and whipworms spread through food and impure contaminated water.

Pinworm can be transmitted from one person to the other and tapeworms can enter the host's body through the consumption of undercooked or raw food such as meat.

These worms can be introduced to the human body at swimming pools, rivers, etc, or by following unhygienic personal habits and poor sanitation facilities.

Such intestinal worms can thrive in the intestines for quite sometime, without actually causing much disturbance to the body.

However, they can also cause problems like pain in the abdomen, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, itching around the area of the rectum, sleeplessness, nausea, weight loss and dysentery.
