Why Do You Get Swollen Feet?

Swollen feet is basically the concentration of fluids in the feet tissues.
Causes Of Swollen Feet –
1. Gravity – One of the most causes of swollen feet is gravity. When people spend most of the time sitting in one position or standing due to gravity, the body fluid tend to get concentrated on the feet, causing it to swell. Excessive fluid concentration may lead to leg pain.
2. Less Blood Circulation – The normal blood circulation process is when the heart pumps the blood through the arteries under pressure. As the arteries branch out into smaller arteries, the pressure begins to reduce. The Oxygen is removed from blood in capillaries and the used blood flows back to the lungs to get oxygen. This whole process happens quickly and any delay or less circulation of the blood, leads to the concentration of metabolism waste in blood vessels, tissues etc to cause swollen feet.
3. Kidney Disorder – The work of kidney is to filter water and takes out the waste water in form of urine. In case of kidney disorder, this process is hampered. Kidney is unable to filter the waste water and that water then settles in the feet. This is the next most common
cause of swollen feet.
Swollen Feet Remedies –
1. At night sleep with your legs elevated on a pillow. This will help reduce the gravitational force disorder. This is one of the effective home remedies for swollen feet.
2. Stretching foot exercises will help workout the blood tissues and thus leading to releasing the concentrated fluid. This home remedy for swollen feet is also good to reduce pain.
3. Feet massage with lemon juice, cinnamon, olive oil, water and milk.
4. Everyday soak your feet in lukewarm water with salt. This will help in releasing water from the swollen tissues.
5. Another effective home remedy for swollen feet is massage with peppermint oil, lemon essentials, water and eucalyptus oil.
Swollen feet along needs medical help. It can be a symptom of several other diseases as well.
