Wearing fabric material which does not allow the sweat to evaporate results in blocking the sweat ducts. When the sweat ducts are blocked, sweat is forced to trickle inside the skin rather than out. This creates an irritation and infection which is then causes rashes. It also raises the temperature of the body.
Here are some home remedies to cure heat rashes -
1.Put three spoons of baking soda and 1 cup of oatmeal powder in the bath water. Soak the affected area in it for 10 minutes and then rinse it. This is an effective home remedy for heat rashes.
2.Another effective cure is to apply aloe vera gel. Aloe Vera cools off the skin, treats irritation and heals the skin and infection caused due to the accumulation of sweat. Aloe Vera should be applied twice or thrice in a day and rinsed well after use.
3.Calamine lotion has healing properties and thus, should be applied on the rashes for quick cure. This is one of the quickest home remedy for heat rashes.
4.After a cold bath apply some cornstarch powder on the skin. This absorbs all the accumulates sweat thus, treating the cause of the rashes.
5.Applying ice cube is one of the best home remedies for heat rashes. As it kills the bacterias, cures the infection, helps the accumulated sweat to dry off and reduce the irritation.
