Dr. Shoaib F. Padaria: Inspiration Behind 'Doctor House Cardio Vascular Centre'
Dr Shoaib Padaria operates through his own clinic called 'Doctor House Cardio Vascular Centre' which is located just opposite the Jaslok hospital. He carries out his consultations and surgeries on varicose veins laser treatment from his clinic apart from his operation at Jaslok Hospital. In totality, Dr Padaria sums up doing more than 90 varicose veins laser treatment surgeries in a month. His clinic is almost a decade old now. Doctor has set up Hyperbaric oxygen therapy dept in Jaslok. It is the only Pvt. hospital in Maharashtra who is having Hyperbaric oxygen department.
He did his M.D. in Medicine and D.M. in Cardiology from the K.E.M. Hospital in Bombay, securing gold medals both times. He then went abroad and was trained in Angiography and Angioplasty at the Brook General Hospital in London. He acquired further specialized training in the United States.
His main area of work is Angiography and Angioplasty. In addition to treating heart diseases he also performs Angiography and Angioplasty of other blood vessels of the body.
Dr Padaria is the pioneer of Peripheral Angioplasty in Western India. Upto now, he has personally performed more than 5000 Angiography and Angioplasty procedures. He has also pioneered the laser treatment of varicose veins, with the largest series of patients in Asia, and performs laser on almost 90-100 patients per month.
He has set up the First and Only Hyperbaric Medicine Department at Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai in November' 2008. He is also visiting consultant to many hospitals in the Middle East and East Africa.
Dr. Padaria is a Fellow of the American College of Angiology, the Society for Cardiac Interventions, and the British Cardiac Society. He is also a life member of the Cardiological Society of India and the Association of Physicians of India.
He is currently the Associate Editor of the Asian Journal of Clinic.
