Shah Rukh And Gauri Khan’s Diwali Bash: Which Diva Was The Best-Dressed And Left Us Speechless?
The biggest Diwali bash of the month was hosted by none other than Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri at their residence. It was obviously a star-studded affair, which witnessed the presence of the couple's close friends. Celebs including Sara Ali Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Vidya Balan were among those, who graced the celebrations. The ladies stunned us with their stunning ethnic outfits and oomph. While some kept it classy and simple, the others had the mercury rising with their ensembles. Also, black seemed to be a dominant colour at the occasion, with three leading faces wearing something black. Let's find out who they were and who was the best-dressed for the bash.
Gauri Khan
Speaking about the hostess first, she looked resplendent in her lehenga that featured something black but was contrasted by gold. The producer and the interior designer, Gauri wore an attire by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for the evening. Her attire seemed to have been inspired by the architectural splendour of the ancient times. It was dipped in the matte black shade and accentuated by intricate golden embellishment and mirror work. Gauri paired her skirt with a dazzling sleeveless golden blouse and a heavy complementing dupatta.
Kajol
Kajol, who makes the best on-screen couple with Shah Rukh, was also present at the party. The actress looked gorgeous in a pastel pink-hued angarkha, which came from the label, Faabiiana. It was a beautifully done outfit and probably one of the best that Kajol has donned in the past few months. It was meticulously enhanced by silver work and subtle floral embroidery. Kajol spruced up her statement pink-hued danglers from Curio Cottage and carried an elaborate potli from The Pink Potli with her.
Ananya Panday
The budding actress, who is about to make her debut, also looked amazing in a Sabyasachi outfit. She went for a soft gold and silver number. Her number was enhanced by modern sensibilities and it featured a blouse and skirt. Ananya's blouse was sleeveless and detailed with intricate silver embellishments. She paired her blouse with a flared and flowy skirt that was notched by light-hued floral accents. Ananya also draped a light stole that complemented her skirt. She upped her traditional quotient with elaborate gold and pearl jhumkis. The makeup was highlighted by a pink lip shade and the middle-parted sleek tresses completed her look.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt left us speechless with her all-black outfit that came from Shyamal & Bhumika. It was hard to take eyes off her and we must say Alia's traditional fashion game is only getting stronger with time. She wore a sleeveless blouse that looked comfy and paired it with a dreamy black skirt that was accentuated by wine-red floral accents. The actress also draped a black dupatta with subtle silver embellishment. She wore intricate danglers to spruce up her look. The makeup was light and was enhanced by a small bindi. The middle-parted tresses rounded off her look.
Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez went for a totally different colour and looked equally impressive. The actress wore a dreamy sari that was designed by Arpita Mehta. It was a baby blue-hued sari that was a bit flared towards the hemline and was enhanced by the ruffled and sequined border. Her sari was also notched up by floral appliques. The sleeveless blouse complemented the sari and Jacqueline wore exquisite jhumkis from Anmol jewellers. Her bracelets came from Farah Khan Fine Jewellery and Jet Gems. Her makeup was highlighted by a bold pink lip shade and smoky kohl. The side-swept wavy tresses completed her look.
Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan looked elegant at the occasion and she went for a muted-toned attire by Punit Balana. The prolific actress wore an olive-green hued anarkali, which was full-sleeved and had a metallic touch. Her ensemble was crisp and pleated and Vidya colour-blocked it with a brown-hued shawl that was enhanced by vibrant floral accents and intricate golden border. The actress wore intricate coin-shaped earrings and her makeup was highlighted by a pink lip shade and smoky kohl. The impeccable bun completed her look.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
If there is someone, who can give refreshing fashion ideas on any given occasion, it is Shilpa Shetty Kundra. The actress looked fabulous in a sharara sari that was designed by Manish Malhotra. It was not an easy attire to pull off given the structure but Shilpa pulled it off like a piece of cake. Shilpa wore an off-shouldered cropped blouse that was meticulously embellished and paired it with flared pants. The interesting aspect about her attire was the golden and beige drape that notched up her look. She teamed her outfit with a precious choker from Anmol jewellers.
Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif also wore all-black attire but hers was a Sabyasachi sari. Katrina was a vision to behold and this was quite an experimental sari by the designer. With its intricately done full sheer sleeves, Katrina's blouse was deep-necked and the sari was just stunning. The drape was knotty and it was an incredible twist given to her outfit. The actress paired her sari with polki studs by A.S Motiwala Fine Jewellery. The smoky eyes and the subtle middle-parted tresses rounded off her look.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
The glamorous diva Kareena Kapoor Khan also attended the Diwali bash of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri. The actress wore an Anamika Khanna outfit that featured a sleeveless blouse and a high-waist structured skirt. She looked regal in her ensemble, which was dipped in a black colour and elaborated by intricate golden floral embroidery. Kareena also contrasted her outfit with a creamy drape that was subtly yet vibrantly embroidered. She paired her outfit with dazzling danglers that were designed by Sunita Shekhawat. The middle-parted dreamy bun completed her look.
Kriti Sanon
Kriti Sanon aced the traditional look with a Sitara green-toned lehenga by Anushree Reddy. This particular lehenga was also a showstopper lehenga, which Malaika Arora Khan wore at the Lakme Fashion Week recently, where she graced the ramp for the designer. It was a beautifully done lehenga with silver floral embroidery. Kriti notched up her traditional avatar with heavy choker and delicate earrings. Her makeup was light and the side-swept romantic tresses rounded off her look.
Sara Ali Khan
We totally loved Sara Ali Khan's traditional attire too, which was designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Sara, whose 'Kedarnath' trailer was appreciated by the audience, was totally in a mood of celebration. Her attire seemed perfect for Diwali with golden-hue and interplay of intricate embellishments. She paired her flared skirt with a sleeveless crop top and draped a light dupatta. Sara upper her look with chandelier danglers and the wavy tresses rounded off her avatar.
Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor was also among the celebrities, who donned an all-black attire. She sported an outfit from the label Koësch by Kresha Bajaj. Her attire was again experimental and blended traditional sensibilities with modern aesthetics. It was the Tulipe Noir set, which consisted of a sleeveless and intricate blouse, which we thought was quite bold and she paired it with an asymmetrical yet pleated skirt. She also notched up her look by draping a sheer sequined stole. The actress paired her outfit with black-hued pencil heels and sleek danglers. Her side-swept wavy tresses completed her look.
It was very difficult to decide that whose look was the best. We were confused between Alia, Katrina, and Shilpa the most. But we thought Shilpa Shetty looked the best. Her attire could have easily been a disaster of the day but Shilpa took the risk and pulled it off so effortlessly. How about you? Whose outfit you loved the most.
