From Janhvi Kapoor to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the B-town divas surprised us with their fashion statements at the Lux Golden Rose Awards 2018. While most of the actresses wowed us with their outfits, some disappointed us. Let's find out, who wore what at the awards ceremony, which celebrated the stylish and glamorous women of Bollywood.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
The gorgeous diva, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the Lux Golden Rose Awards 2018. The actress wore a shimmery and fiery red-hued number from Atelier Zuhra. Her sheer gown was structured, full-sleeved, and embellished by mirror work. The gown was also contrasted by wine-red patterns. Her makeup was bold and highlighted by a dramatic red lip shade and the sleek tresses completed her look. We loved her styling, but the same we couldn't say about her gown.
Jacqueline Fernandez was one of the best-dressed at the event. The actress raised her style quotient with a Maison Yeya off-shouldered icy gown. Her attire was accentuated by ruffled accents, was figure-flattering, and had a razor-sharp train. She spruced up her look with a pink lip shade, a delicate neckpiece, and a high bun. Jacqueline rounded off her look with nude heels. She looked very impressive.
Nora Fatehi wore an architectural number and we actually loved it. It was not an easy number to pull off but the 'Dilbar' girl carried it with a lot of aplomb. Her attire came from Caroline Bibawi and it was accentuated by structural kimono draped bodice and the figure-hugging silhouette, which took a flared turn. Her makeup was dewy and the romantic bun spruced up her look. Didn't she look just amazing?
Alia Bhatt wore a simple gown by Netta BenShabu and gave us an outstanding outfit of the night. Her off-shouldered ivory gown featured a corset bodice and was beautifully embellished. It was the perfect red carpet dress and Alia's makeup with pink touches was also done to perfection. She teamed her outfit with minimal finger rings, which went well with her pristine white gown. The side-swept tresses complemented her look.
She was crowned Miss World last year and we must say Manushi Chhillar has within just a year dazzled us with her outfits. This embellished number of hers was also amazing and was designed by Yousef Aljasmi. Her high-neck nude-hued attire was adorned with scintillating silver floral accents. Her makeup was nude and highlighted by a smoky kohl and the middle-parted sleek tresses elevated her style quotient.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
We liked the red and pink colour scheme of Kareena's chiffon gown, which was designed by Prabal Gurung. However, we didn't like the attire in terms of shoulder straps, the bodice, and silhouette. Her makeup was natural and refreshing and the loose bun actually went well with her gown. But this time and it is very rare, Kareena left us a bit sad faced.
Madhuri Dixit Nene
Madhuri Dixit Nene left us awestruck with her Swapnil Shinde gown, which was splashed in a vibrant pink and featured a flowy silhouette. Her cape attire also ended with a dreamy train and Madhuri looked just radiant. The styling was done to T, with stunning earrings. The makeup was beautifully done and the side-swept wavy tresses upped her style statement. She took a bold turn and it paid off well.
Nushrat Bharucha's gown was not that bad but it wasn't that good either. The nude-blush hue of her attire was beautiful but we didn't like the spider web-like details added to her attire. Her makeup was towards the dewy side and the side-swept tresses completed her look. Well, we wish Nushrat makes a strong comeback.
Sharp silhouette contrasted by dreamy feathers, Rakulpreet's gown was about that. Her attire came from Zuhair Murad and it was a stunning piece. The full-sleeved gown was notched up by sheer accents and interesting embellished detailing but this gown gave us a major dèjávu. Her makeup was notched up by smoky kohl and the layered tresses completed her look. She looked pretty but we wished she had experimented a little.
Chitrangda Singh looked ravishing as always and this time, she wore a romantic Reem Acra number that was splashed in a blush pink hue. Her tulle gown was flared, voluminous, and sheer. The gown also featured eye-catching jewelled accents. We loved the gown except for the bodice area. However, with wine-red lip shade, smoky kohl, and side-swept tresses, her makeup and hairstyling were done amazingly. The stunning jewellery pieces also enhanced her look.
We admire Taapsee for her acting skills and the experimental looks. However, this time, we didn't like her fashion statement and styling. Taapsee wore a dramatic gown by Fouad Sarkis and it was grey-hued with black roses. We loved the dark romance that she brought to the red carpet but we didn't like the neckline area of her attire. Also, the red lip shade was a bit too much and didn't go well with her attire. What do you all think?
Kajol looked stunning and stuck to her comfort zone. She wore a metallic number that was meticulously structured and featured an overlapping bodice. The embellished gown was full-sleeved and Kajol carried it with a lot of grace. The red lip shade suited her and the side-swept tresses notched up her look. We are much impressed Kajol.
Isabelle Kaif didn't go for embellishments and instead gave us a Cinderella moment. Katrina's sister, Isabelle took the road-less-travelled by donning a spring-worthy number on a red carpet night. She wore a blue and yellow ballroom gown by Andrew GN. Her gown was adorned with pretty flowers and we thought Isabelle gave us some refreshing fashion look. She paired her outfit with hoop earrings. The dewy makeup and middle-parted tresses complemented her look.
Karisma Kapoor is almost always impeccably dressed but this time she disappointed us too. The actress wore a velvet black-hued top and paired it with a metallic and pleated silver skirt. The teaming was alright but we thought the attire failed to make her look stunning. She seemed to slouch a bit because of the structure of the top. However, the makeup and the hairdo suited her look.
Ankita looked like a dream in her embellished gown and we must say that she wowed us. The actress went for a typical ballroom gown, which was voluminous and intricately done. She teamed her sleeveless gown with minimal jewellery. Her makeup was nude and we particularly loved her side-parted sleek hairdo. Well, Ankita hope you give us more such fashion moments.
Swara Bhasker also failed to cheer us up this time. The actress wore an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla number that looked very Cleopatra-inspired with a black hue and exotic golden woven patterns. We really didn't think Swara looked great in it. The dewy makeup highlighted by an orange-pinkish lip shade was fine though.
Janhvi was a vision come true in her pristine white gown by Reem Acra. The actress looked straight out of a fairytale. Her gown was beautifully done by floral appliques and featured a voluminous skirt. She looked just amazing and this time her dewy makeup spruced up her look. The romantic bun added a wow factor to her look.
