Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back on the red carpet for the third time at the 69th Cannes Film Festival this year; and Ash decided to stray away from her tried-and-tested makeup routine to opt for a funky lip colour.

Wearing an off-shoulder floral embroidered gown from Rami Kadi, Ash cut a perfect figure. The gown was a pastel shade of pink with spaced-out patterns in shades of deep red, purple, white, green and orange.

Fresh out of Rami Kadi's recent 'May Blossom' collection, Aishwarya definitely looked like a fresh summer breeze. Continuing her trend of fit and flare, Ash kicked the style quotient up a notch with the most unique lip colour seen this year at Cannes.

The Loreal ambassador had her hair up in a pony with sexy smokey eyes, but we could not really figure out what went through her makeup artist and stylists mind when they decided to opt for that matte puple lip colour, which had us in a fix and took all the attention on the red carpet.

Aishwarya's lip colour single-handedly sent twitterati on a roll with the most hilarious trolls of all time.
