Amazon India Fashion Week 2016: Varun Bahl Introduces The Modern Woman
The most awaited event of the year is finally here. The Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2016 in association with Maybelline New York will grab your attention on 45 renowned designers.
The five-day gala fashion extravaganza commenced with the great works of designer Varun Bahl who portrayed his idea of a modern woman on the ramp.
His beautiful and very attractive collection featured exotic motifs and luxurious hybrid styles. In this stunning collection he also mixes an antique template with contemporary touches in keeping with his chic aesthetic.
On the ramp you get to see a ton of long jackets, dresses in jacquards with ruffles and gathers that accentuate the body.
Since Varun Bahl strongly believes in the strength of flower power, this new AIFWAW 2016 collection showcases a lot of intricate textures, foliage and floral patchwork that tell a story of unadulterated glamour. Take a peek into the collection:
Floral Masterpiece
The subtle hue and the touch of floral prints on this attire is mind-blowing.
A Touch Of Gold
Although the colour black ruled the world on day 1 at the AIFWAW 2016, we also got to see a tint of gold too which was deeply engulfed with detailing.
A New Fabric
The collection saw a lot of net along with a variety of colour. The florals simply added to the glamour in the line.
Pleated Skirts & More
There was sophistication in each of his ensembles although it was a plethora of black.

On the other hand the sublime patterns and the intricate pattern work which is seen on each of the attires were eye- catchy.
Red Rules The Ramp
The powerful colour red seems to have taken the ramp by storm. Teamed with a soothing shade, the red floral motiffs on the ensemble looks stunning.
Heavy Necklines
Since black ruled the ramp on day 1 in Varun's collection, he decided to pop in colour with heavy neckline embroidery.
Fish Prints
Fish scale prints are new and it seems nice for the modern woman. This collection is bursting with a new flavour of detailing.
Peplum Necklines
The white skirt featuring a woman's favourite colour looks smashing hot with the gold beaming neckline.
