Ingredients:
500gms Knol Kol
500gms Curds/Yogurt
1tbsp Mustard Oil
"' tbsp Fennel Powder
1tbsp Coriander Powder
"' tbsp Red Chili Powder
1tsp Black Pepper, Coarsely grounded
2 Cloves
1 Cardamom, Crushed
1tsp Cumin Seeds
1tbsp Coriander Leaves, Chopped
"' tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
Method:
Peel Knol Kol and cut into large pieces. Heat Oil in a kadai and fry the pieces till they turn brown. Remove and keep aside.
To the remaining Oil, add Cardamoms, Cloves and Cumin Seeds and fry. Add 2 Cups of water and bring it to a boil.
Add the Knol Kol pieces, Salt, Turmeric Powder, Chili Powder, Fennel Powder and Curds and cook till the pieces become tender.
Remove to a serving dish and garnish with Pepper and Coriander leaves and serve hot with Rice.
