Tandoori Roti
4 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Ghee (Clarified Butter)
1 Cup Curd/Yogurt
METHOD :
Prepare a dough using Flour, Salt, Baking Powder, Ghee and Curd. Cover and keep aside for 4 hours. Divide the dough into balls and roll into Roti's. Roast in a hot tandoor till done.
It can also be baked in a preheated Oven.
If Tandoor or an Oven is not used then a tava(griddle) can be used. Smear water on one side of the Roti and place it on the tava(griddle). Because of the water the Roti will get stuck to the tava(griddle). Now turn the tava(griddle) upside down and let the Roti cook directly on the flame. After about a minute turn the tava(griddle) and let the bottom side of the Roti cook. Remove and serve hot.
