Step-by-Step Recipe For Shahi Mushroom Masala
Most of us love to eat mushrooms but either don't know how to cook it properly or end up cooking it wrong. That is why we have to depend on restaurants and other eating joints to relish mushroom curries. But you will be amazed to know that mushroom is one of the most easiest thing to cook and doesn't take up much time either. You just have to make sure that you clean the mushrooms properly before cooking.
Mushrooms can be made into a number of recipes. You can cook it the Chinese way or the continental way or the typical Indian way. They taste good in all ways. Today we have a special and royal recipe for mushrooms known as the shahi mushroom masala. The mushrooms are cooked in Indian gravy and the step-by-step procedure of the dish helps you to cook this vegetarian recipe the right way.
So, here is the step-by-step recipe for shahi mushroom masala. Take a look and enjoy this royal delight with family and friends.

Ingredients
- Button mushrooms- 500gms
For Marinade
- Curd- 1/2 cup
- Salt- as per taste
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Jeera powder- 1/2 tsp
For gravy
- Onions- 2 (chopped)
- Ginger garlic paste- 1tsp
- Tomatoes- 2 (chopped)
- Turmeric powder- 1tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Jeera powder- 2tsp
- Dhaniya powder- 1tsp
- Garam masala powder- 1tsp
- Kasuri methi- 1tsp (crushed)
- Salt- as per taste
- Jeera (cumin) seeds- 1tsp
- Bay leaf- 1
- Oil- 2tbsp

Procedure
Step 1: Wash the mushrooms properly in hot water to remove all the impurities. Then marinate the musrooms with curd, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and jeera powder for 15-20 minutes.

Step 2: Heat oil in a pan and add the jeera seeds and bay leaf. Fry for a minute and then add the onions. Fry on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.

Step 3: Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 2-3 minutes and then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, jeera powder, dhaniya powder, tomatoes to the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes.

Step 4: Now add in the marinated mushrooms and salt. Simmer for 3-4 minutes on low flame.

Step 5: Add garam masala powder and a little water if needed.

Step 6: Add in the kasuri methi and mix well.

Step 7: Cover and cook the mushrooms on low flame for 2-3 minutes.

Step 8: Once done, switch off the flame and transfer the curry to a plate.
