Leftover Chapati Roll For Breakfast
Chapati is a common dinner item in most Indian homes. Kids as well as adults love to eat chapatis with their favourite curry. This is the reason why chapatis are prepared in large quantities in most Indian households.
The excess chapatis from the dinner menu are often cast away the next day. This results in huge wastage of food as well as your efforts. But it is also very difficult to eat the leftover chapatis, the next day as they tend to become hard. So, what do you do?

Today we have a lovely wrap recipe for breakfast which is prepared using the leftover chapatis. You can choose your own stuffing for the chapati roll depending on the taste of your family.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- Leftover chapati- 4
- Eggs- 2
- Potatoes- 3 (boiled and mashed)
- Onion- 1 (chopped)
- Garlic- 4 cloves (chopped)
- Sambar masala- 2tsp
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Coriander leaves- 2tbsp (chopped)
- Oil- 2tbsp
Procedure
1. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan and add chopped garlic to it. Fry for a minute.
2. Then add the chopped onions and fry till they turn translucent.
3. Then one by one add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sambar masala, salt and at last the mashed potatoes. Stir well.
4. Then mix in the chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
5. Now heat a tawa and brush it with a little oil.
6. Beat the eggs in a bowl with a little salt.
7. Place the leftover chapati on the tawa and heat it on both sides.
8. Pour two tablespoons of the beaten egg on the chapati ad turn it to the other side immediately.
9. Allow the egg to fry and stick to the chapati.
10. Now remove the chapati from the flame and place it on a plate.
11. Place the potato mixture in the centre and roll the chapati from one side.
12. Follow the same procedure to make more rolls.
Serve this delicious chapati roll with ketchup. Your kids will surely love it.
