Pumpkin Cake For Halloween
Pumpkin cake is a very delicious cake recipe on its own. But on Halloween, this recipe assumes a special significance. We all know that pumpkins have come to symbolise Halloween in popular culture. So not just carving pumpkins but even cooking with them has become a Halloween ritual. That why pumpkin cake is dessert recipe that you can reserve for a festive dinner.
Pumpkin cake is a great cake recipe because it is baked with suitable ingredients. Pumpkin is a sweet vegetable that really suits a cake recipe. That is why, Halloween is incomplete without this cake. You may shape the cake like a pumpkin. But if you do not have the time or the inclination, then baking it normally will also do.

Serves: 8
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Baking Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients
- Flour- 3 cups
- Cold butter- 4 tbsp
- Milk- 1 cup
- Eggs- 2 (beaten)
- Powdered sugar- 1 cup
- Vanilla essence- 2 drops
- Cheese- 100 grams (grated)
- Pumpkin- 2 cups (scooped and seeded)
- Salt- 1 pinch
Procedure
1. Pre-heat the micro-oven to 350 degrees.
2. Take the flour, sugar, butter, eggs and milk in mixing bowl.
3. Add a pinch of salt and few drops of vanilla essence.
4. Beat the mixture for 5 minutes vigorously.
5. Now grease a baking pan. Pour one third of the dough into the pan.
6. Then cover it with butter paper and pour half of the dough left. Again cover it with butter paper and then pour the rest of the dough.
7. We are going to bake the cake in three tiers.
8. Bake the cake in oven for 15 to 18 minutes on 60 per cent power.
9. Meanwhile mix the pumpkin and cheese together for the in-between layering of the cake.
10. Remove the cake from the oven and keep the three layers separately.
11. Now divide the cheese and pumpkin mix into two portions and use it to stick the three layers of cake together.
12. Bake this in the micro-oven for 5 to 7 minute son 40 per cent power.
Refrigerate the cake after it cools to room temperature. Enjoy your pumpkin cake chilled this Halloween.
